“This is my body, which is for you.” – 1 Corinthians 11:24
God has done all things for you. God has created you. God sustains your life. God even came in the flesh for you and as Jesus Christ, God went died on the cross and rose from death for you.
In worship God is here for you to meet your greatest need through Jesus Christ. Christ comes for you to speak into your need His words of forgiveness, life and salvation.
As God’s people here at Trinity ELC, we are also here for you. As you arrive you on Sunday morning will be greeted many times and if you have any questions there is always someone who can help you or direct you to where you can find an answer.
Upon entering the sanctuary (our place of worship) you will receive a service folder. This contains the order of worship and announcements about our life and mission as a congregation. All of this is also projected on the screen.
You can sit where you feel most comfortable. Children seem to do better the closer they are to the front and we allow children to be themselves. Just in case, there is a nursery in the back if your child needs a break. After the children’s message, preschool children follow the Sunday school teacher downstairs and return prior to communion. School age children participate in worship and work on a handout during the message. We value our children!
Worship is filled with what God does for you and there are opportunities for us together to speak back what God has done. In worship:
- We confess our sins and receive God’s forgiveness.
- We sing songs and hymns of praise to God.
- We listen to God’s Word both read and preached.
- We profess our faith in God.
- We offer up prayers for ourselves and others.
- We give our offerings and thanksgiving to support the work of God.
- We receive the Lord’s body and blood for our forgiveness.***
- We are blessed by God as we head out to do God’s work in the world.
Worship is about God coming for you in your need and providing you with all that you need for this life and the next.
We would love to have you join us so come and see what God in Christ has for you!
*** Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper is offered to who are baptized and believe that Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, is truly present in, with and under the forms of bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins, life and salvation.
