What an amazing time at Trinity ELC last week. There was so much to celebrate as we reviewed Kristine’s ministry as Secretary/Treasurer (excellent); did a review of our Sunday school ministry and planning for next fall (can’t wait) and received a transition proposal from Bethany for next year’s youth ministry (exciting).
The week wrapped up with a worship service that God’s presence only made better. Thank you to Jodi and Marianne for sharing the joy and sorrow of Champion Centre and our opportunity to share the good news with men there.
So what’s up this week?
As this is being written the women are preparing for their annual June Ladies Aid supper. You may not want to be the pastor on most days, but this is one day you do. He’s the only man invited!
Reid Manor worship (Holy Communion) will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am. After worship come and join Pastor Tim at the Rising Sun Club House for Wednesday lunch ($6).
The youth continue their small groups this week after school (Tuesday/Wednesday) and the girls are invited to an all girls night out on Friday. I don’t think the pastor will be invited to this one.
On Sunday we are called and invited by God to gather for worship in order to hear and experience his Word of good news through preaching and the Lord’s Supper. We’ll be considering the passage from Ephesians 4:1-16 in light of the often fractured and compartmentalized lives we attempt to live personally and within our families and congregation. Is the gospel being strangulated?
May God give you the eyes of Christ this week to see the needs around you and to bring the good news of Christ and his kingdom.
Go in peace and serve the Lord!
