This Week at TELC

horse-ridingThis week at Trinity ELC began last night as people gathered to experience the ministry of Wilderness Ranch Camp. The rain did not stop the fellowship around hot dogs and beans and the children enjoyed riding the horses around the parking lot. The evening ended with a wonderful musical presentation by Doug Rawling and team. For more info about Wilderness Ranch check out this video:

We completed our annual church survey on Sunday. The results are back and they revealed a well balanced ministry anchored in inspiring worship and loving relationships. What was also noted by survey participants is our primary need to work on becoming more externally focused on sharing the gospel in a way that answers the questions and meets the needs of non-believers. Watch for more on this, but here’s one example…

Our young people are some of are best evangelists. This week we have six of them preparing to publicly share their faith (Sunday at 9 am) and then affirm their baptismal covenant with God at our 10:30 am service.

Building on the theme of evangelism and affirmation, Pastor Tim will be preaching on the question: “So What Now?” What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ? Take a look at the text for this week and reflect on what you are prepared to give up to follow Christ and serve his kingdom.
