Remember the Poor

rememberpoorfront_mediumAt the end of each service during the season of Lent we hear the assistant minister say, Go in peace, remember the poor.

This coming Sunday we are collecting food for the Food Bank in Ponoka. It is one way to remember those who for various reasons run short on food.

In the following article, Rev. David Rumph, chaplain of Hospice Services for Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska reflects on our calling as followers of Christ to practice the law of love and compassion to all that we meet.
