This Week at Trinity ELC

This WeekWe want to highlight three important events at Trinity ELC this week.

  • Why True Love Waits
  • Making Sense of the Cross: Ransom and Victory
  • The Theory of Relativity

Why True Love Waits

On Saturday, February 23, from 9 am to 3 pm Trinity will be hosting a seminar that will help parents and other interested adults help teens resist the immense pressure to be sexually active before marriage. Based on Josh McDowell’s book participants will engage in a presentation and conversation centered on kids’ struggles to remain sexually pure in today’s culture. Why True Love Waits will equip adults with the emotional, relational, physical, and spiritual reasons to share with young people to help them resist sexual pressure.

Making Sense of the Cross: Ransom and Victory

Our morning worship this Sunday, February 24 will continue to unfold the series Making Sense of the Cross. This week we will look at the theme of Ransom and Victory.

We confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves. The early church believed that we were literally held in slavery to Satan and that, on the cross, God tricked Satan into setting us free. That might sound strange to modern ears, but none of us are strangers to the reality of our bondage to sin and our longing to be free.

Join us at 10:30 on Sunday as we enter the cross of Christ that we might find freedom from all that would bind us and keep us from life.

The Theory of Relativity

This coming Sunday evening we will once again gather for our monthly community worship service at Sonrise Christian Reformed Church at 7:30 pm. Along with great music and fellowship we will hear Pastor Ted (Askur Lutheran) delve into the issue of relativism that on the one hand makes everything sound okay, but on that other hand turns everything into meaningless mush. Are you searching for the truth? Join us this evening.
